According to police, on Tuesday, December 2nd, 2014 at approximately 6:30 pm, the Niagara Regional Police responded to an armed robbery at the Avondale Store, situated at 112 Brock Street, West Lincoln.

The suspect entered the store and approached the lone clerk while brandishing what appeared to be a handgun.  The suspect directed the clerk to the counter area and demanded cash.  The clerk alerted Police by pressing the panic alarm which resulted in the suspect fleeing the store on foot.  The suspect was last seen running towards the rear of the store northbound on College St.  Uniform Officers along with the K9 Unit searched the area for the suspect with negative results.

The clerk was uninjured in the incident.  No money was obtained.

Suspect Description:

The suspect attempted to conceal his identity by pulling a hoodie over his face.  He is described as male, white, approx. 5’8″ to 6’0″, medium build, wearing dark coloured pants, a dark coloured hooded sweatshirt, black shoes and gloves.
