According to police, on Friday December 12, 2014, at approximately 7:00 pm, Uniform Members of the Niagara Regional Police Service responded to a residence on Merritt St in The City of St.Catharines, in regards to a Robbery that had just occurred.

Upon arrival, Police learned that two males had entered the residence confronting the lone occupant, at which time one of the males brandished a handgun.  The males searched for valuables, and left with items from the home.  The occupant of the residence was not injured, and Police do not believe that this was a random incident.

As a result of continued investigation by Uniform Officers as well as the One District Detective Office, one of the suspects was identified and taken into custody without incident at his North End St.Catharines home shortly after the Robbery.

Charged with One (1) count of Break and Enter and Robbery contrary to The Criminal Code of Canada is 21 year old Kegan GEORGE of St.Catharines. The second suspect in this matter is described as a male black, mid 20’s, approximately 5’7″ to 5″8″ tall with a slender build.
