On Saturday January 17th, 2015 members of the Special Enforcement Unit and 8 District Officers, in conjuction with Operation Multi-Task, conducted a RIDE program in West Lincoln and St. Catharines.

Police say over the course of the evening approximately 450 vehicles were checked and of those drivers 17 roadside breath samples were taken. As a result of the program 3 drivers received a 3 day licence suspension. In addition, 3 Provincial Offences charges were laid.

The Niagara Regional Police remain committed to the safety of the people traveling  the roadways of the Niagara Region.  Please help us attain our goal of reducing impaired and distracted driving. Plan ahead and don’t drink and drive.
