At approximately 7:00 pm on March 24th, 2015, a lone male entered and robbed a business at the Geneva Square located at 191 Welland Av, St. Catharines. The male successfully stole an amount of money before fleeing the area on foot. Nobody was harmed during the robbery. It is believed that the male spent a considerable amount of time in the shopping plaza before entering the business and committing the robbery. The male may have appeared under the influence of an intoxicating substance.

The suspect is described as a white male, 35-45 years old, of medium build, wearing a black hat, black coat and blue jeans.

Update:

On Sunday March 29, 2015 at approximately 10:25 am members of the Niagara Regional Police Service responded to the ‘Love Shop’ located at 86 Niagara Street in the City of St. Catharines for an Attempted Robbery. A lone male entered the premise and demanded money from the employee however fled the premise prior to his demands being met.

Subsequently the male then attended and entered the Gales Gas bar Kiosk located at 143 Welland Ave. The male stole an undisclosed amount of money out of the hands of an elderly paying customer and fled on foot. The elderly male was not injured during this incident. Members of the Niagara Regional Police Service located and arrested the male a short distance away.

Further investigation by members of the 1 District Detective Office revealed that this male was also responsible for the Robbery at ‘Subway’ located at 191 Welland Ave on March 24, 2015

Charged with two counts of Robbery and one count of Theft Under is 41 year old Daniele Sforza. Sforza was held in custody pending a bail hearing on March 30, 2015 at the Robert S. K. Welch courthouse at 59 Church St in the City of St. Catharines.
