In the early part of April in 2015 members of the Welland Street Crime Unit began an investigation into the sale of crystal methamphetamines by a male who was travelling throughout the Niagara Region.  On Thursday April 9, 2015, with the assistance of the Niagara Falls Street Crime Unit and the Casino Detachment,  the investigation concluded with the arrest of two parties in a hotel in the City of Niagara Falls, Ontario.

According to police, as a result of the arrests police seized approximately $4,000.00 in Canadian currency and approximately $300.00 in a various Controlled Substances, including suspected Crystal Methamphetamine, Marihuana, and prescription pills.

Jeremy DUPUIS-CORMIER, a 24 year old resident of Niagara Falls, Ontario, is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000.00.  DUPUIS-CORMIER is being released on an Officer in Charge Promise to Appear and given a future court date.

Shyla Jean BAILEY, a 19 year old resident of Niagara Falls, Ontario, is charged with 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Breach of a Recognizance of Bai, and Breach of Probationl.  BAILEY is being held in custody pending a Bail Hearing on Friday April 10, 2015 in St. Catharines, Ontario.
