According to police, in April 2015, Detectives from the Special Victims Unit commenced an investigation into a sexual assault allegation. The allegations stemmed from two incidents that occurred in St. Catharines between March 30th, 2015 and April 9th, 2015.
As a result of the investigation, 35 year old Gurpreet Singh TOOR of St. Catharines, Ontario, was arrested and is charged with the following:
Two Counts of Sexual Assault, contrary to Section 271 of the Criminal Code of Canada
Sexual Interference, contrary to Section 151 of the Criminal Code of Canada
Sexual Exploitation, contrary to Section 153 (1) (a) of the Criminal Code of Canada
The alleged offences were committed while the accused, Gurpreet Singh TOOR, was considered to be in a position of trust or authority over the victims who were under the age of 18 years. No further information will be released to protect the identity of the victim.
