On April 18th, 2015 a residence in Wainfleet Ontario was broken into and a large amount of items were stolen and an estimated $40,000.00 worth of damage was done to the property.   An investigation was launched by the Niagara Regional Police Service.

According to police, on April 22, 2015 members of the Welland Street Crime Unit arrested Daniel DICATO, a 38 year old resident of Welland, Ontario.  As a result of the investigation,  Dicato was charged with Break, Enter, and Commit, and Mischief Over $5,000.00.  Police recovered approximately $15,000.00 in property stolen from the Wainfleet residence.  Dicato was held in custody pending a bail hearing on Thursday April 23, 2015.

The investigation is continuing.
