Kensington Palace has announced that The Duchess of Cambridge (Kate Middleton) has given birth to a girl, as of 08:34 BST.
The Duke of Cambridge (Prince William) was present for the birth of the baby, who weighed 8lbs 3oz (3.7kg) and both Catherine and her daughter are “doing well”according to a statement. The name of the baby will be announced in due course.
