Police say on Saturday May 16, 2015, the Niagara Regional Police were called to a residence on Deerfield Parkway in the City of Thorold, for a break and enter to a residence.
At approximately 11:30 p.m., the homeowners of a residence had returned home from an evening out, when they were confronted by a male who was unknown to them, and who had entered their home.  The male was armed with a stun gun style Taser, and demanded money from the couple.  When one of the residents was able to exit the home to alert neighbours to call the police, the suspect fled the residence to the rear yard, into a hydro field bordering the property.  The suspect male did not receive or take any items from the home, nor were either of the occupants injured in this occurrence.
The suspect was described as a white male, in his 20’s.  He was approximately 6′ tall and had a very skinny build.  The suspect was wearing a hooded sweatshirt with the hood up at the time of the incident.
