Police say shortly before midnight on Saturday, June 13, 2015 police were called to investigate a report of gunshots in the area of Haig Street and Cayuga Street in the City of St. Catharines.

A large house party was taking place at a residence on Haig Street, where the gunshots were believed to have originated. Officers from the uniform branch and detectives interviewed a number of party goers and canvassed the area for witnesses, but those interviewed were either unable or unwilling to provide information to assist with the investigation.

 

Investigators confirmed that a firearm had been discharged at the party, but it has not been recovered. There have been no reported injuries as a result of this incident.

Investigation continues by the 1 District Detective Office and investigators are asking anyone with information to call Detective Constable Erica Warkentin at 905-688-4111 Extension 4308, or by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
