According to police, in the month of June, 2015 members of the 1 District Street Crime Unit began an investigation in to the sale of drugs from a St. Catharines address.

 

The investigation led Police to identify the male they believed responsible for selling drugs from this address. On Thursday, June 25, 2015 this male along with two other males were followed from St. Catharines to Niagara Falls. Police believe a drug transaction took place and the occupants of the vehicle were arrested.

As a result of the investigation, Police seized $1400 worth of prescription medications.

Jeffrey Walters a 34 year old resident of St. Catharines has been charged with 3 counts of Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime. Walters was held to appear for a bail hearing.

Joshua Kovacs a 25 year old resident of Niagara Falls has been charged with 1 count of Possession of a Scheduled Substance.

The third male was released unconditionally.
