According ton police, in December of 2014, members of the 1 District St. Catharines Uniform Patrol branch commenced an investigation into child luring offences in the City of St. Catharines.  Members of the Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit and the Technological Crimes Unit were called in to assist with the investigation.

 

As a result of several months of investigation and analysis, a St. Catharines man was identified as a suspect. On Saturday August 15th 2015, members of the 1 District St. Catharines uniform patrol arrested 26 year old Ezron Thompson for Luring a child with intent to commit sexual interference.

He will be held in custody pending a bail hearing that will take place on August 16th 2015 in St. Catharines.

No further information will be relaesed by police in order to protect the identiy of the young victim.
