According to police, in September of 2015, members of the Niagara Regional Police Service PAVIS, Morality, and Welland Street Crime units began an investigation into the sale of Fentanyl and Cannabis from a Fonthill residence. On October 8th 2015 this investigation resulted in arrests and a search warrant being executed on a Fonthill home.

 

Charged with possession of Fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking, Possession of Cannabis for the purpose of trafficking, trafficking Cannabis, possession of Cocaine, possession of Oxycodone, and possession of proceeds of crime as a result of the investigation is 25 year old Joseph Pawlik of Fonthill.

Also charged in the investigation was 25 year old Welland resident Royce Williams.  Williams is charged with possession of Cannabis.

In the conclusion of the investigation, Police seized Fentanyl patches, Cannabis, Cocaine, Oxycodone pills, $3400.00 in currency, a digital scale, and debt lists.

The estimated street value of drugs seized is in excess of $8000.00.
