According to police, on Sunday November 8th 2015 shortly after 4:00 p.m. police were called to the area of Niagara Street and Manning Street in the City of St.Catharines in response to a report of a robbery that had just occurred.

 

Upon arrival, officers discovered that a St.Catharines Taxi driver had been robbed by a fare.  The fare had been picked up at the St.Catharines Bus Terminal and requested to be transported to the North end of St.Catharines.  While enroute, the suspect brandished a weapon and demanded that the driver turn over an undisclosed amount of money.  Upon receiving the money, the suspect fled on foot Westbound on Manning Street and was last seen running Northbound on Niagara Street.  The victim was not injured during this incident.

The suspect is described as follows:

Male White, 25-27 years of age, 6′ tall, slender build, rose complexion, long face, prominent nose, stained teeth, wearing a white hooded zip up jacket and black pants.
