Police say shortly after 2:20 am on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 members of the Niagara Regional Police Service responded to an armed robbery at the Gales Gas Bar located on the corner of Collier Road South and Confederation Avenue in Thorold.

 

Two males entered the store and approached the lone clerk. One of the males demanded cash while the other pointed a handgun at the victim.

The two were described as follows:

Suspect #1:  male white, twenties, slim build, 5’11” to 6′ tall, wearing a dark coloured hooded sweater.

Suspect #2:  male white, stocky build, shorter, wearing a dark coloured hooded sweater and a disguise over his face.

The suspects fled the gas station on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. They managed to evade a coordinated response by Uniform Patrol and the K-9 Unit.

The investigation into this matter is being conducted by members of the 1 District Detective Office with the assistance of the Forensic Services Unit.
