National Child Day is celebrated on November 20th each year.  It has been celebrated across Canada since 1993 to commemorate the United Nations’ adoption of two documents centered on children’s rights. These are the United Nations Declaration of the Rights of the Child (November 20th, 1959), and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (November 20, 1989).

National Child Day is about celebrating children.

The Niagara Children’s Planning Council, along with the participating municipalities and the YMCA of Niagara invite families to visit any of these locations for FREE SKATING or SWIMMING in recognition of the event (various dates and times)
