Superstar Prince has died at 57 at his estate in Minnesota. Sources say his body was found this morning at his Paisley Park studio. His passing has been confirmed by multiple sources.

Prince Rogers Nelson (his full name) had a medical emergency on April 15th that forced his private jet to make an emergency landing in Illinois. But  the next day he made a concert appearnce and told his fans he was okay. There were reports he had the flu. Just before this he had cancelled two shows due to health concerns.

Prince rose to immense stardum in 1982 after his album “1999” and his career continued to grow with  7 Grammys and a following that adored him and his unique style. He also sold more than 100 million records during his career … and won the Academy Award for Best Original Song Score for Purple Rain in 1985.

Prince was married two times — the first time to his backup dancer Mayte Garcia until 2000 and then to Manuela Testolini … with a split in 2006.

He was inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.
