Police say on Thursday July 21st 2016 members of the Niagara Falls Street Crime Unit conducted surveillance of two males within the City of Niagara Falls riding high end bicycles.

 

Investigation revealed that one of the bicycles was stolen, and the two males were arrested. Further investigation found that the second bicycle was also stolen, and the males were in the middle of a transaction for one of the stolen bicycles.

Stephen NAIRN, 45 years of Stoney Creek is charged with one count of Trafficking Property Obtained by Crime under $5000, and two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000. NAIRN was held pending a bail hearing on July 22nd 2016.

Police would like to remind the public to remain vigilant when purchasing second hand items, and when a deal seems too good to be true there is the potential that it is.
