The hub of the Niagara Wine Festival can be found in historic Montebello Park in downtown St. Catharines where you can enjoy food, wine, and the gorgeous ambience of the park and lots of entertainment to boot this weekend!

 

Local chefs will provide regional cuisine from one to three tokens per portion, while VQA wines can be purchased by the sample or glass. Festival tokens can be purchased at the park for $3.25 (HST included) each. There is also free admittance to the park and parking.

Today’s festivities also include the Pied Piper Parade which is at Montebello Park, corner of Lake and Queen Streets starting at 11 am. This is your chance to dress up “Niagara style” in your own “Home Grown” way.

Wear your costume and afterwards, celebrate with refreshments from the Real Canadian Superstore in the Grapeland Family Activity Area. Prizes are awarded to the best themed costumes and includes an invitation to be special guests in the VIP seating area on Grande Parade day, Saturday, September 24th.

Also, the JCI St. Catharines’ 43rd annual Mayors’ Invitational Grape Stomp returns to Montebello Park today at noon!

Groovy Food | 1-2:45pm
Groovy Food is a four-piece, classic rock band that has been performing around the Niagara Peninsula since 1999. Groovy Food tries to bring an authentic 1960s/70s classic rock experience to every venue in which they play.

Soul Jam | 3:15-5pm
Soul Jam is a premier Niagara based band performing classic R&B, Motown and rock. The musicians include Bill Neudorf on bass guitar and vocals, John Navarroli on guitar and vocals, Alistair Robertson on saxophone and John Multari on drums and vocals.

Flat Broke | 5:30-7:15pm

Madhatters | 7:45-10:30pm
The Madhatters have been playing to live audiences for over 15 years. From corporate functions, weddings and bar shows, this band has seen and done it all with great enthusiasm, pride and a swell of talent.
