On Monday September 19, 2016 shortly before 4:00am members of the Niagara Regional Police Service say they responded to an address on Pinecrest Rd in the city of Port Colborne. Initial investigation has revealed that the premise, a licensed medical marijuana location, had been the site of a robbery.

 

As a result of the work of the responding officers, K9 and ETU officers along with the assistance from the Ontario Provincial Police and the Erie County Sherriff’s Department helicopter four suspects were taken into custody . Niagara Regional Police Service also initially made 5 arrests.

In the latest updates, further investigation has led Niagara Regional Police Service Detectives to arrest and charge 3 men and 2 women.

Charged with Robbery with a Firearm, Forcible Confinement, Pointing a Firearm, Disguise with Intent and Uttering Threats are:

– Veneranda KYERE (24yrs)
– Federico MARTINEZ (23yrs)
– Alexander DUARTE (24yrs)
– Cian COLEY (20yrs)
– Hana HABIB (24yrs)

Coley and Habib have also been charged with Obstruct Peace Officer and Fail To Comply With Recognizance. Detectives believe there are 5 suspects still outstanding from this incident.  The Niagara Regional Police Service urges all residents in that area to remain vigilant and report any suspicious persons or insecure premises to police immediately by calling 911.
