It’s that time of year! Snowflakes, hot chocolate, holiday music, caroling and shopping. If you are feeling in the festive spirit this year, here is a list of Christmas markets to check out in Niagara…

 

1. Niagara Falls Christmas Gift Show – December 3rd 10-5 and December 4th 10-4

Taking place at the Scotiabank Convention Centre, this is a Christmas Show featuring over 100 vendors, a product demonstartion area, giveaways and prizes, and kids can meet Santa! For more information visit www.fallsconventions.com

 

2. Christmas Bonanza-December 3rd 10-4

This is held at the Port Dalhousie Lions Club, 201 Main Street, St. Catharines. The show is focused on promoting local artisans and entrepreneurs offering a variety of handmade goods such as jewelry, original art, beauty products, fabric and knit crafts, glasswork, baked goods and much more. Vendors will be set up indoors.

 

3. Family Wellness Festival – December 3rd 10:30-3:30

This is a family fun event held at the Beyond Montessori School in St. Catharines. There will be 30+ vendors, a kids zone with children’s games and activities, an inflatable castle, bake sale, cafe, silent auction and more.

 

4. Christmas Pop Up Shop-December 3rd 10-2

Shop without dealing with crowds in malls at 305 Rice Rd. in Welland. Free admission, free coffee, tea and snacks to munch on while you shop. 30 direct sales and handmade vendors.

 

5. Christmas In The City Holiday Pop-Up Market-December 2,9,16 10-6

This market takes place in downtown Market Square (91 King St.) in St.Catharines on the first 3 Wednesdays in December. They will have an incredible variety of local artisans and small businesses displaying their best wares (50+ vendors). Delicious baked goods, unique gifts and hand crafted items will be available from a different assortment of vendors each week.

 

6. Port Dalhousie Christmas Market- December 9,10 (12-9),11 (12-6)

This is the First Annual Port Dalhousie Christmas Market located on Hogan’s Alley in Port Dalhousie! This is an outdoor festival where city residents gather with friends and family to celebrate the tradition and romance of Christmas. Get some Christmas shopping done, while enjoying the tastes, sights, sounds and smells of the tradition of Christmas.

Expect to see unique and local handcrafted products sold from European styled wood cabins, Santa’s house, live entertainment, choirs, Christmas caroling, festive food and beverages, a warming lounge, and more!

Admission is free but they kindly ask that you bring a non-perishable food item for Community Care. Bins will be located at the Christmas Market entrance.

 

7. Holy Trinity Welland Christmas Bazaar – December 3rd 9-1

Located at 77 Division St., in Welland, there will be a free door prize, 50-50 draw, Raffles, Penny Sale, Bake Table, Gifts & Crafts, Nearly New, Various Draws, Vendors & more.

8. Pelham Outdoor Christmas Market – December 2nd 4-10

Christmas comes early at 20 Pelham Town Square, Fonthill for an evening of Gift & Food Vendors, “Christmas Cheer”, FREE Carriage Rides thanks to Pleasantview Funeral Home and Cemetery, Visits with Santa thanks to the Kinettes Club of Fonthill and District, FREE Facepainting thanks to the Kinsmen Club of Fonthill and District, Ice Carving and much more! 9. Ridley Christmas Market – December 2nd 2-7

Ridley College Fieldhouse located at 2 Ridley Road, St.Catharines is hosting their annual “Ridley Christmas Market” featuring over 60 vendors, musical entertainment & a special visit from Santa. Local charities to benefit.

 

10. A Very Merry Craft & Vendor Show-December 4th 11-4

With over 40 venders, crafters and food vendors, “A Very Merry Craft & Vendor Show” is held at the Allanburg Community Centre in Thorold (1560 Falls St.). They are offering a large variety of items for your viewing and buying pleasure. Join them for hot beverages, raffle items, HUGE door prizes and a visit with Santa! Photo’s will be available with Santa with a portion of the proceeds going to Community Care.
