Police say, in November of 2016 members of the Niagara Regional Police Service 2 District Criminal Investigation Branch with assistance of the Sexual Assault Unit entered into an investigation involving allegations of historical sex offences in the city of Niagara Falls.

 
As a result of the investigation; on December 3, 2016, an arrest was made and charged with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault with a weapon, sexual assault involving a third party, sexual assault, bestiality, forcible confinement, administering a noxious thing and overcome resistance by attempting to choke is 31 year old Niagara Falls resident, Andrew Trostenko.

Andrew Trostenko was held in custody and is scheduled to attend a bail hearing on December 4, 2016 at the Robert S. K. Welch Courthouse located at 59 Church Street in the city of St Catharines.
