Police confirm that the 54 year old man involved in a motorcycle collision yesterday in Thorold at Thorold Townline Road and McLeod Road has died.  The driver of the Pontiac he collided with sustained no injuries.

 

Original Report: Police say that initial investigation showed that a 54-year-old male resident of West Lincoln was riding his 2013 Indian motorcycle northbound on Thorold Townline Road, while at the same time an 18-year-old female resident of Niagara Falls was driving her 2007 Pontiac motor vehicle southbound on Thorold Townline Road.

The driver of the Pontiac made a turn onto McLeod Road into the path of the motorcycle and the two vehicles collided within this intersection. The motorcycle rider suffered life threatening injuries and was airlifted to an out of town hospital in critical condition.

This collision remains under investigation by Detectives of the Niagara Regional Police Service’s Collision Reconstruction Unit.
