Police say , on Wednesday June 21st 2017 at approx. 9:56 pm, members of the Niagara Regional Police Service and Niagara Emergency Medical Services attended a residence on Queenston Street in response to an assault that just occurred.

 

Upon arrival, police discovered a 32 year old female with stab wounds to her upper body requiring immediate medical attention. She was transported to the St. Catharines hospital and later taken to an out of region hospital, currently in the Intensive Care Unit.

Investigation led police to another residence on Queenston Street where a female was located and arrested.

Charged with Aggravated Assault is 33 year old Crystal Fraser of St. Catharines. She was taken to the 2 District Central Holding Cells to await a bail hearing.

At the time of this media release, the residence on Queenston Street where the assault occurred is still being secured by police pending judicial authorization to seize evidence within the apartment.
