Since August of 2017 police say the members of the Opioid Unit and the Guns, Gangs, and Grows Unit have been investigating a Pelham man for trafficking in fentanyl patches.

 

Throughout the investigation Police observed the male conducted suspected drug transactions in parking lots and from his business located on Pelham Street, Pelham.

On October 24th, 2017 Police obtained search warrants to enter and search the males business and home. At approximately 4:15 p.m. the male exited the rear of his business where he was immediately arrested. Police searched the males home and business and were able to locate and seize a quantity of fentanyl patches and cocaine.

Charged with 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, and 1 count of Possession of Proceeds of Crime is 27-year-old Joseph Pawlik. Pawlik will be attending for a bail hearing in the St. Catharines court house on October 25, 2017.

In total Police seized $2,700.00 in cocaine, $3,200.00 in fentanyl patches , and $3,460.00 in cash.

Police anticipate more charges in the near future as a result of this investigation.
