The third annual  Christmas Lantern walk held last Saturday was organized by Port Dalhousie’s Beautification and Works Committe (BWC) and was a huge success that put everyone in the mood for the holidays!

Folks made their way out to the new pavilion in Lakeside Park and enjoyed  weather that could be described in short as a perfect December evening.

The event kicked off with a few words from Mayor Walter Sendzik who was delighted that this was the first winter event to be held on the pavilion site for as long as he could recall.

The first musical set was performed by the Salvation Army who entertained a crowd of about 250…Then off to the Lakeside Bandshell where a choir from St Johns Church sang… next to the old Port Mansion site to hear Ian Woods and his guitar…. The Eagles Nest Choir were stationed at the Legion site …… and the last stop was the Christmas Market Stage where Zan Dominick and her accompanying guitarist drew the walk to a close.
