Spring is right around the corner and that means it’s time to take close look at your ride from the ground up. We caught up with the team from Clare’s to find out more about how to get ready for the road and what’s new for the exciting season ahead!

Safety First
Service Manager Carole Rankin (pictured below with Wilf S),  says routine maintenance is recommended for bikes and reminds riders that it’s absolutely critical to properly maintain your motorcycle and keep it in top shape for performance and safety.

Beat the spring rush and book your service appointment today!  Look no further than Clare’s, 12-bay service department, where they have award winning technicians and the latest in parts and technology to help you get your ride in top form no matter what your needs.

Other safety tips for riders says Rankin are common sense: “always wear a helmet, drive defensively, obey road signs, check the weather and never drink and drive.  As for those motorists in cars it means being conscious of motorcyclists as they share the roadways once again.”

Gear Check

MotorClothes Manager Martha Primerano says besides the bike itself,  a critical component of bike safety this season is also to be sure your gear is in good shape. “Make sure those helmets, gloves, boots, pants, etc. are free of defects.  Remember they are your first line of protection against the elements so make them a high priority.”

Tip: The best protective gear will always be your own brain. Use it, and ride safe.

If you’re looking to replace some gear/clothes this season, or just add to what you’ve got, it’s a great time to do so says Marketing Manager Lisa Tache because it’s the 115th anniversary of Harley-Davidson this year and that means some cool new additions to the regular Harley-Davidson lineup!

The huge showroom at the Niagara-on-the-Lake location of Clare’s has something for absolutely everyone including riding gear, casual styles and an incredible selection of Genuine Harley-Davidson products for men, women, kids, you name it.

New Year New Bikes…

Sometimes the best way to start a new riding season is a new bike.  A new bike is an individual decision and there are lots of factors that weigh in says Clare’s sales manager Mark Winner, including what you will use the bike for, experience level, personal preference, body type, budget and more…

“Balancing your needs with your wants is important in finding the right ride for your lifestyle”, says Winner.

At Clare’s, an exciting development for Harley-Davidson in 2018 is the merging of the Dyna and Soft Tail Lines.  The new bikes come in 2 engine platforms including the Milwaukee-Eight 107 and 114 engines.

The eight new Softail models include: Fat Bob, Street Bob, Fat Boy, Heritage Classic, Low Rider, Softail Slim, Deluxe and Breakout.

Not sure what type of bike you want?  No worries, just set up a free demo and get a hands on experience for yourself and remember, financing is available on site.  If a new bike is not in the cards, Clare’s also has pre-owned inventory.
