Police say that on Monday, April 23rd, 2018 at approximately 12:10 a.m. the Niagara Regional Police Service, the Niagara Emergency Medical Services and Niagara Falls Fire Services responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Montrose Road near Koabel Road in Niagara Falls.

 

Initial investigation revealed that a 2014 Ford Fusion motor vehicle was being driven southbound on Montrose Road by a 31-year-old Fort Erie male. This driver lost control of his vehicle, entered the ditch, went through two fences before the vehicle came to rest on its roof in the yard of a private residence. Another motorist came upon the collision and called 911.

The driver was transported to a local hospital before being air lifted to an out of town hospital in critical condition.

This collision remains under investigation by Detectives of the Niagara Regional Police Services Collision Reconstruction Unit.
