Police say that at approximately 1:10pm on Monday July 23, officers were called to the area of Mountain Road between Elm Tree Rd and Kemp Rd for the report of a collision.
Initial investigation has revealed that a Chevrolet Cobalt collided head on with a Pontiac Montana Minivan; with a third vehicle, a Volkswagen, also becoming involved.
The driver of the Cobalt, a 32 year old female was pronounced dead at the scene. Her 13 year old male passenger was airlifted to an out of town hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
The occupants of the minivan were taken to hospital for treatment of their injuries while one occupant of the Volkswagen sustained minor injuries.
