Police say since October,  the Street Crime Unit began conducting a drug investigation involving the sale of Crystal Methamphetamine in St.Catharines.

 

On November 5th 2018, police observed several suspected drug transactions by this individual while operating an electric bicycle. This male was arrested without incident and police seized a large quantity of narcotics and Canadian currency.

Arrested and charged was:

42 year old Edward LEY of St.Catharines

Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x 5
Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5000

In total Police seized a quantity of Crystal Methamphetamine, Fentanyl powder, Cocaine, Oxycodone and Hydromorphone which held an estimated street value of $9900. Police also seized $1280 in Canadian currency.

LEY was held in custody pending a bail hearing on November 6th 2018.
