If you are looking for something to get you into the spirit of the season, look no further than Port Dalhousie this weekend!

Starting this Friday Dec. 7th it is the Third Annual Port Dalhousie Christmas Market located at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 350 Port Dalhousie, for an outdoor festival where city residents gather with friends and family to celebrate the tradition and romance of Christmas. Get some Christmas shopping done, whilst enjoying the tastes, sights, sounds and smells of the tradition of Christmas!

This year’s market will include:
Unique and local handcrafted products sold from European styled wood cabins, A visit from Santa, live entertainment, choirs, Christmas caroling, festive food and beverages, a warming lounge, and more!

As an added bonus the will be a secondary location at the Lock & Main Winter Wonderland! located in the marketplace at 17 Lock St.

Admission is free but a suggested donation of $2.00 with a portion of proceeds to support the Port Dalhousie Beautification and Works Committee. Also we kindly ask that you bring a non-perishable food item for Community Care. Bins will be located at the Christmas Market entrance.

On December the 8th, another great event is the 4th Annual Lantern Stroll which begins at the pavilion at Lakeside Park in Port at 6pm, is presented by the Port Dalhousie Beautification and Works Committee, a citizen-driven organization dedicated to the beautification, preservation and enhancement of Port Dalhousie.

Attendees for this community event can purchase a lantern or candle to light their path around town with proceeds going to Community Care. They will be provided with a downtown map, showing locations and times of holiday performances as they walk about. Entertainment will include music from local school choirs, churches, theatre groups and local musicians and it is a great opportunity to mingle with neighbours and share the joy of the holiday season.
