Police say that on December 07,  members of the Central Region Street Crime Unit with the assistance of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and #3 District Detective Office concluded a drug investigation with the execution of a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a residence in Welland.

 

As a result of the search, police located and seized 44.8 grams of cocaine with an estimated street value of $4,480 as well as a quantity of Canadian currency and various trafficking indicators.

Salvatore Lamacchia, a 39 year old Welland resident was charged with:

– Trafficking cocaine
– Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
– Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
– Breach of Recognizance (4 counts)

Laura Krajkovic, a 29 year old Welland resident was charged with:

– Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
– Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000

Frank Buttineau, a 54 year old Welland resident was charged with:

– Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
– Obstruct police

Krajkovic was released on conditions with a future court date while both Lamacchia and Buttineau were held for bail.
