Niagara Regional Police say that two people are charged after a drug investigation in St. Catharines.

 

Since early April, 2020, Detectives with the St. Catharines Crime Unit have been investigating allegations of drug trafficking and on Saturday the 25th, a search warrant was executed at a residence around Currie St and Facer St.

As a result of the investigation, over 100 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine was seized (estimated value of $9000) as well as over $350 in currency.

30-year-old Arthur Michaud and 26-year-old Stephanie Steinhoff, both of St. Catharines are each facing alleged charges of: Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking and- Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime Under $5000.

Michaud and Steinhoff are both currently being held in custody pending a video bail hearing today on Sunday April 26, 2020 at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse in the City of St. Catharines.
