Another case of COVID-19 has now been reported by Niagara Region Public Health at Stevensville Public School.  For privacy reasons, the identity of the individual cannot be shared.

 

Following protocol, students and staff who had close contact with the individual have been informed and told to stay home and self-isolate.

Custodians are completing a thorough cleaning of the school this evening. A Public Health Inspector and a Public Health Nurse from NRPH will visit the school to complete a comprehensive assessment.

The preventative COVID-19 practices that Stevensville Public School has been following since the beginning of school, such as wearing PPE, physical distancing, hand hygiene, and doing daily health screening, will continue.

Stevensville Public School and the DSBN will continue to work collaboratively with Niagara Region Public Health to ensure the school meets all the health and safety protocols required.
