Niagara Regional Police say that on Sunday, May 30, 2021, uniform officers, attended a residence in the area of Niagara and North Street, in St. Catharines in response to a stabbing call.

 

Investigation revealed that a 36 year old woman had gotten into a dispute with a 59 year old woman. As a result, the 36 year old woman hit the 59 year old woman with a stick multiple times, then proceeded to stab her twice.

The victim was transported to an out of region hospital with life threatening injuries. She is in stable condition.

Sheralee Bryant (36 years old) of St. Catharines was arrested and charged with the offences of assault with a weapon and aggravated assault.

Bryant was held in custody and is expected to appear in court today.
