In early October 2014 police members of the Niagara Falls Street Crime unit commenced an investigation into several break and enters which had occurred at an apartment complex on Valley Way in the City of Niagara Falls. The victims reported over $15,000 worth of property stolen.
Officers developed a suspect and were able to recover several pieces of property the suspect had pawned a local pawn shops in Niagara Falls. On Thursday October 9th, 2014 the suspect was arrested in Niagara Falls and police say was found to be in possession of property from one of the recent break and enters.
Further investigation has led to the recovery of over $9,000 worth of stolen property including laptops, tablets, gold rings, earrings, necklaces and several watches.
Charged is 21yr old Tyler CHARTIER of Niagara Falls. CHARTIER faces 7 counts of Break, Enter and Theft, 2 counts of Break and Enter with Intent and 5 counts of Possession of Stolen Property. CHARTIER was held pending a Bail Hearing on October 10th 2014 in St Catharines
