According to police, on Monday December the 8th 2014, at approximately 5:00 a.m. two suspects forcibly entered a residence on Killaly Street in Port Colborne and assaulted the home owner and his son. The suspects subsequently fled the scene and were arrested by Niagara Regional Police a short time later.

Charged with break and enter and aggravated assault are Jeff Ward and Ronald Tanguay, both from Port Colborne.  They are currently being held for bail.

Detectives from the 3 District Criminal Investigative Branch of the Niagara Regional Police Service are continuing to interview witnesses to the event. The Niagara Regional Police Service would like the public to know that this was not a random act of violence and that the parties were known to each other.
