Police say on Monday, October 19, 2015 at approximately 1:00 pm a male suspect entered the Townline Discount Variety Store located at 17 Townline Road in St. Catharines. The male suspect brandished a knife and demanded the owner hand over a package of cigarettes. The victim complied with the suspect’s demand and surrendered the cigarettes.The suspect fled on foot and was later arrested by Police down the street, at the Merritt Inn.
The male suspect has been identified as 33 year old, Adam Wallington. He has been charged with one count of Robbery and is scheduled to appear in the St. Catharines Bail Court on October 20, 2015.
