Since January of 2017 members of the 1 District Street Crime Unit have been investigating a male regarding his involvement in the sales of cocaine in the City of St.Catharines.

During the course of the investigation, police began making observations during the Month of January that were consistent with an individual who was operating a drug trafficking operation from his residence. A serious concern to Police was that this individual was within a close proximity of an Elementary School.

On February 1st 2017, Police executed a search warrant at a Prince Street address and say they arrested two individuals for Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.

Arrested and charged was 35 year old Jose Escoto of St.Catharines

Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x 3
Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5000
Breach Probation

33 year old Victor Escoto of St.Catharines

Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5000

As a result of this investigation Police seized $2800 worth of Cocaine and Prescription Medication and $2000 in Canadian Currency.

Police are genuinely appreciative for the support provided by the St.Catharines residents for assisting in this matter. Members of the public are also encouraged to contact police to curtail any future problems in their community.
