Niagara Regional Police say in St. Catharines a cyclist was seriously injured after a hit and-run on Saturday night.

The collision happened around 8:30 p.m. near Dunkirk Road and Service Road when a white Mercedes struck a cyclist and fled westbound.

The victim was taken by Niagara EMS to an out‑of‑region hospital with serious injuries. Investigators believe the suspect vehicle has front‑end damage and a broken passenger‑side mirror.

The Collision Reconstruction Unit is leading the investigation and urge residents and businesses nearby to check surveillance footage for evidence of the white Mercedes.
