According to police on January 12, 2015 a Niagara Falls woman attended Money Mart at 5885 Ferry St. in the city of Niagara Falls. Within a 25 minute period, she uttered two forged cheques  she claimed to be from her employment as care giver at a local retirement home. Believing the cheques to be legitimate, the woman was permitted to cash the cheques.

On January 15, 2015 the same woman attended the same Money Mart location with another forged cheque. She provided the same story regarding her employment in order to receive cash for the cheque. Later, the cheques and the woman’s employment claims were found to be bogus.

As a result of an investigation conducted by the Casino Patrol Unit Detectives, 25 year old Frances Montagna-Quinlan was charged with three counts of Utter a Forged Document and three counts of Fraud Under $5,000.  She was released on a Promise to Appear and an Officer in Charge Undertaking.
