Police say, on May 15th 2016, Niagara Regional Police responded to a robbery on Beatrice St in the City of Welland.

 

As a result of the investigation, Police learned that four suspects armed with weapons forcefully entered a house and assaulted a person who resides there. The suspects then stole items belonging to the homeowner.Police have identified one suspect as 35 year old Serena Moore of Welland. On May 15th 2016, Serena Moore was located and arrested without incident. She is being held in custody and is scheduled for a Bail Hearing on May 16th 2016 in the City of St Catharines.

On May 16th 2016, Police executed a Criminal Code Search Warrant at a residence associated to Serena Moore and seized an item that was possibly used in the robbery. Police anticipate further arrests in the near future and want to advise the public that this incident is not a random act.
