Spring is also, in my humble opinion, a time of rebirth and renewal; a time for marvelous changes.  It has been less than a month since our Adoption Centre at the Niagara Square has closed, and oh boy, it has been a strange experience. The AC has been my life since the very beginning: from birth to ‘death’, so to speak.  I have watched it grow and thrive over the years.  I have met hundreds of amazing people of all ages, helped find homes for hundreds of cats and other small critters, and now with the help of truly fantastic supporters, the Niagara Falls Humane Society will be reopening two new adoption outlets, refreshed and invigorated, ready to accept the awesome challenges which lie ahead.

Over the last couple weeks, with the help of some of the most amazing volunteers ever, we have finished painting at both locations, and are currently in the process of cleaning and preparing for the arrival of our furry friends.  Enclosures are being built to properly contain the kitties in their space, laundry tubs have been put in place, and the organizing will continue!  (Below, dainty Starla.  For more information CLICK HERE).

We are hoping to be open at the Queen Street location, appropriately named ‘Cats On Queen’, as soon as next week and the Montrose Road store will follow shortly.  Please keep an eye out on our Facebook pages and website for further updates regarding our grand Grand Re-Openings!

We will most definitely need help taking care of these precious beings!!  If you are responsible, committed, and willing to spend a few hours a week helping, please email me, Bon, at bpearson@niagarafallshumanesociety.com or please go to our website at www.nfhs.ca , where you can download a copy of our volunteer form under the ‘Get Involved’ section to download, fill out and submit.  We also have an app for the Niagara Falls Humane Society which can be downloaded free.  It is very easy to use, and will keep you up to date on all of our current and future events.

I’m looking forward to seeing you at our new locations!
