On Saturday October 18th 2014 at approximately 9:35 pm, members of the Niagara Regional Police Service attended the area of Kinsey Street and Powerview Avenue, in the city of St. Catharines, in response to a robbery that just occurred. Upon arrival, the male victim was identified as a 45 year old taxi driver who did not sustain any injuries.

Police say they learned that two males who obtained a ride in the taxicab from elsewhere in the city, instructed the victim to pull over and brandished a knife before fleeing the area on foot with a small amount of money. The suspects were described as white males, mid to late teens, approximately 5’9″ and weighing 130-140lbs.  Both were wearing hooded sweat shirts and were last seen running behind houses on Powerview Avenue.

Police were unable to locate the suspects and are now requesting any information from the public which may assist investigators in identifying them. People are encouraged to contact the Niagara Regional Police Service at (905)688-4111 ext. 4286.
