According to police, on November 24th, 2014 shortly after 6:00 PM members of the Fort Erie Fire Department responded to a structure fire located at 92 Albert St, Fort Erie.  On arrival they discovered that the residence fully engulfed in flame.  The flames were also impinging on the south side of the residence located at 96 Albert St.  The fire was quickly extinguished by fire personnel.

The resident in the lower apartment advised that he was looking out his window in a westerly direction and noticed a large light illuminating the exterior of the residence.  Upon further investigation he realized that the exterior of the residence was on fire and exited the building.  The residents in the upper apartment were not home at the time of the fire.

There were no injuries sustained during the incident.  Damage is estimated to be $200,000 to 92 Albert St. and $20,000 to the exterior of 96 Albert St.  The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fort Erie Fire Department and is not criminal in nature.
