According to police, since November of this year members of the St. Catharines Street Crime Unit have been investigating occupants of a Lowell Avenue residence for selling drugs from their residence. As a result of the investigation, on Monday December 15th police obtained a search warrant for the said residence. At approximately 5:45 pm the warrant was executed and several people were arrested. Police searched the residence and located heroin, cocaine, fentanyl, marijuana, and cash.
Charged with 3 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, 1 count of Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1 count of Possession of Proceeds of Crime, and 5 counts of breaching of a release order is 34-year-old Krista Curtis. Also charged with the same offences is 39-year-old Guy Lavalley. Lavalley was not at the residence at the time police attended and an arrest warrant has been issued for his arrest. Charged with 1 count of Possession of a Controlled Substance and 1 count of Breach of Probation is 23-year-old Brian Himes.
This is the third time Curtis has been arrested for these alleged offences, as her Lowell Avenue residence was the target of a search warrant in April of this year. Lavalley was arrested at that time also. All three accused will be held pending a bail hearing on Tuesday December 16th, 2014.
