Special weather statement in effect for:

  • Niagara Falls – Welland – Southern Niagara Region
  • St. Catharines – Grimsby – Northern Niagara Region

Poor winter driving conditions this evening.

Periods of snow continue over Southern Ontario and is mixed with freezing drizzle at times this evening. Total snowfall amounts of 5 to 12 cm are expected from Grey-Bruce east across Muskoka into the Ottawa Valley. Further south, most regions will receive near 5 cm of snow in total.

Brisk and gusty northwest winds are forecast to develop later this evening or overnight and may result in local blowing snow over exposed areas.

Motorists should be prepared for poor winter driving conditions with poor visibilities and slippery surfaces possible.
