According to police, on Friday, June 19th 2015 the victim, Giuseppe “Joe” Caputo was found murdered within his Portage Road Apartment in the City of Niagara Falls. Members of the Niagara Regional Police Service Homicide Unit initiated an investigation, which identified two suspects; Jasmine Doxtator and Richard Doxtator and resulted in arrest warrants being obtained.
On Tuesday 30th June 2015, the Police located the two co-accused in a vehicle travelling on Highway 400 in the City of Vaughan. At approximately 6:35 pm, Police arrested both parties who were then transported to St. Catharines where they were held pending a bail hearing on Wednesday, July 01st 2015 at the Robert S.K. Welch courthouse located at 59 Church Street, in St. Catharines.
Charged with First Degree Murder are:
Jasmine Doxtator 37 years.
Richard Doxtator 38 years.
