Reaction on social media to singer Nelly Furtado’s unconventional rendition of O Canada at the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday night got cheers from the crowd at the Air Canada Centre last night…but on social media…not so much.

 

The British Columbia native sang a slow, moody version of the national anthem, accompanied by Native American flutist Tony Duncan on an instrument made by Saskatoon’s Richard Dubé.
