According to police, in January of 2016, the Niagara Regional Police Service launched an investigation into numerous prescription frauds in which Fentanyl patches were obtained.

 

On Friday March 25th 2016, members of 8 District uniform patrol received information that a fraud was going to occur at the Rexall Pharmacy located at 4486 Ontario St in the Town of Lincoln.  Members of the 8 District Detective Office conducted surveillance on the pharmacy and with the assistance of uniform patrol arrested 29 year old Saundra McNeil of Mississauga.

McNeil is charged with Uttering a Forged Document contrary to section 368(1)(a) of the Criminal code of Canada, Identity Fraud contrary to section 403(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada, and Fail to Comply with Recognizance contrary to section 145(3) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

Also charged in the incident is 31 year old Whitney Wilson of Gravenhurst.  Wilson is charged with Possession of a Forged Document contrary to Section 368(1)(d) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
